We offer exploration services – From play fairway mapping to block level 2D/3D seismic data analysis, integration of geological and geophysical data to generate new play concept, leads, prospects, sizing and identifying associated risks to generate a portfolio inventory for the interested area to help make strategic decisions.
Play Fairway Analysis is a basin analysis approach that evaluates the key petroleum system elements to high-grade acreage for business opportunities. It highlights the “Sweet Spots” of a play and associated risk in a regional contest to focus exploration and maximize reward.
For each element of the petroleum system, GDE (Gross Depositional Environment) maps (Reservoir, Seal and Source Facies) are generated. These maps are then integrated by overlaying each other to generate component risk maps for reservoir quality, seal effectiveness and source rock maturity.
Based on Common Risk Segments Maps, a detail seismic data analysis is carried out to identify Prospects, Leads and concepts in the low risk areas. Integration of seismic attribute maps with geological information including any well data, basin modeling or any other data available is accomplished to mature the prospect to drill worthy.
Once the prospect has been mapped, each component of the petroleum system associated with it will be assigned a risk resulting in a final assessment. DHI analysis is an integral part of risking. The presence of DHI will further de-risk to a high COS of the prospect.
To further de-risk a prospect, AVO modeling is carried out.
