Zareef, the President of Z-PETRO “Training and Consulting”, is an Exploration Geophysicist with over 05 years of industry experience in 2D/3D seismic data interpretation and geomodelling of structurally complex carbonate reservoirs in the Kohat-Potwar basin and deltaic clastic reservoirs of southern Indus basin onshore, Pakistan and Taranaki basin offshore, New Zealand by using various G&G softwares.He has got his MS degree in Geophysics from NCE in Geology, University of Peshawar. Zareef is also an instructor of Petrel Software, which covers Seismic Data Interpretation, Data Management, Data Loading, Data QC and Well Log Correlations.
Dr. Ali Jaffri, PhD is the founder of Applied Stratigraphix LLC, has a doctorate in geology, and specializes in sequence stratigraphy. Between consulting projects, full-time positions and internships he has worked on the North Sea, Norwegian Sea, Barents Sea, West and East Africa, Lower Indus Basin, the Pricaspian Basin, Taranaki Basin and several US onshore Basins. Unlike most sedimentologists and stratigraphers Dr. Jaffri is equally proficient in carbonates and siliciclastics.
His doctorate at Colorado State University focused on sequence stratigraphy of mixed carbonate-siliciclastic-evaporite systems. Doctoral work was supplemented with projects with ExxonMobil Research Labs, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Delta Petroleum, and Brigham Oil and Gas. Masters Degree was acquired from Oklahoma State University and the thesis focused on mechanical stratigraphy of a fractured carbonate reservoir. Bachelors from the University of Colorado at Boulder involved fieldwork on fluvial stratigraphy.
He has trained over 500 oil and gas professionals from 21 companies in 7 different countries.
Donald G. Hill, PhD is a Consulting Petrophysicist and Adjunct
Professor of Petrophysics at the University of Southern California. He
holds a Doctorate in Geology and Exploration Geophysics and has over
45 years experience developing andconducting innovative petroleum,
mining, and geothermal exploration and production (E&P), as well as,
geotechnical and environmental projects in 22 US states, 3 Canadian
provinces and 33 countries exclusive of North America.
He is a published author in the fields of geophysics, petrophysics,
enhanced oil recovery, geothermal exploration, potash evaluation, and
environmental restoration. He has served on industry steering
committees for major projects at Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory and
Sandia National Laboratory, served on an ASTM standards committee,
reviewed proposals for the US Environmental Protection Agency, reviewed
standards and qualifying examinations for the California Board of
Registration for Geologists and Geophysicists, and reviewed papers
submitted for publication for international technical journals.
He is the recipient of the prestigious Sigma Gamma Epsilon
W. A. Tarr Award; The Pi Epsilon Tau Diploma of Honor, the Russian
Academy of Natural Sciences Kipitsa Medal and Albert Einstein Medal of
Honor; and the Society of Petroleum Engineers Western Regional Section
Formation Evaluation Award.
Dr. Ahmed Kodsh, PhD is a professional Geologist with over 30 years of petroleum industry experience in global exploration and development. he was as a General Manager of exploration studies petroleum agreement, bid round, area promotion and economic analysist studies for Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC). The last recent title was Consultant Expert & Principle Petrophysicist at Schlumberger – Algeria. He conducted advance professional courses abroad in different countries as (USA, Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Libya, Algeria, Nigeria, Oman, India, Amman & UAE). He completed his Ph.D.research in Formation Evaluation of the Reservoir Rocks in the Zeit Bay Oil Field, Gulf of Suez,Egypt at the Ain Shams university, Egypt, 1997.
Noe Maldonado Jarquin is a Senior Drilling and Geomechanics Engineer with 16 years of experience in Geomechanics focused on: Pore pressure estimation, fracture gradient, rock mechanical properties, principal stresses and well stability analysis, drilling monitoring and update of real time geomechanical models involving geopressure and drilling parameters monitoring, BHA trip analysis, design of drilling risk maps classified by section, geological formation, probability and severity in conjunction with recommendations for prevention, detection and mitigation of said risks at Aprilios – México y Centro America. He presented advanced professional courses in Mexico for the customer Pemex in different regions.
Muhammad Din is an Exploration Geophysicist with more than 25 years global experience including Offshore Guyana, Suriname, South America, Almada-Camamu and Sergipe-Alagoas Basins, Brazil, Central North Sea, United Kingdom, Sirte Basin, Libya, Gulf of Mexico, USA, Llanos Basin, Colombia, Niger Delta, Nigeria, Rio Muni Basin, Equatorial Guinea and Lower Indus Basin in Asia for specific seismic evaluations through integration of all geophysical data sources. Geoscientist of the Guyana exploration team who had seven major discoveries in deep water Stabroek block, Guyana since 2015 adding more about 3 billion barrels oil equivalent resources. The historic success includes Liza-1 (800- 1.4 billion barrels), Liza-1, Liza-3, Liza-4, Liza-5, Liza Deep Payara-1, Payara-2, Snoek-1, Turbot-1, Ranger-1, Pacora-1. Two dry holes Skipjack-1 and Sorubim-1 have also been drilled in this frontier basin.
Saber Shahat is a Reservoir Engineer Consultant with over 22 years of experience in all of the reservoir engineering aspects (North Africa and Middle East) within local and international oil and gas operating companies. He worked on onshore and coastal oil, condensate and gas fields. He has reasonable experience in reservoir modeling, well test analysis, reservoir management, production forecast, follow up the operations, PVT analysis, core sampling, SCAL, data acquisition, field reviews and full field development plans. He used Pan System and Saphir for pressure transient analysis and OFM Software for production fields allocation. He has got his postgraduate diploma & master degree in natural gas technology from AL-Azhar university, Egypt. He occupied a Reservoir Engineering Section Head position in Kuwait energy Companies Khalda Petroleum Company, Egypt.
Lilibeth Rodríguez is a Senior Research & Development Associate Engineer in Geomechanics and Wellbore Stability with more than 11 years of experience at PDVSA Intevep (the research center of PDVSA, Venezuelan national oil company). Currently, she is the Geomechanics and Wellbore Stability Team Leader and responsible for Geomechanics Laboratory of PDVSA Intevep. Her work focuses on petroleum geomechanics research and technical support in different operational areas of Venezuela. She has a strong experience in geomechanical characterization of reservoirs (rocks, unconsolidated sands and geomaterials), geomechanical laboratory tests to determine mechanical properties of reservoirs, pore pressure prediction, development of geomechanical models, geomechanics and wellbore stability studies. She has a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from IFP School, France and a Master in Heavy Oil Extraction from UNEFA, Venezuela. .
Michael J. Steventon is currently a Postgraduate Researcher at Imperial College London using seismic data to understand deep-water sedimentary systems. In addition, he assists the Petroleum Geoscience MSc teaching program at the college including; seismic interpretation, petroleum play analysis, static reservoir modelling and petrophysics. Michael graduated with an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from Imperial College London. After his MSc Mike joined Schlumberger’s software division as a Geoscientist in Aberdeen. Here he aided operators in the North Sea developing efficient and precise software workflows for reservoir development studies and taught a number of geology and geophysics-based short courses. Clients included ConocoPhillips, BP and Shell. Additionally he assisted the UK Oil & Gas Authority in promoting the 29th offshore licensing round and won global recognition from Schlumberger

Imene Ferhat is a professional Geologist with over 5 years of petroleum industry experience within Baker Hughes a GE company. She is a geoscientist in charge of Borehole images processing and interpretation, core description, Petrophysical erpretation. She was involved in both exploration and evaluation stages, and played important roles in taking decision for pressure points selection using RCI technology. She conducted professional training in Algeria, Tanzania, Tunisia and Angola, specially about Images interpretation in both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. She obtained a MASTER degree from USTHB Algeria and has been certified from the Geoscience academy of Houston USA. .
